In 2001 the group was about to release the third album but it ceased to exist. Stacy went down with an emotional crisis and underwent therapy.
For the next few years she continued to perform but without any major success, until she met Black Eyed Peas. She was invited to join the trio for a few songs and – then – permanently.
The Black Eyed Pearls began as Atban Klann in 1989 and became Black Eyed Peas in 1995. The quality of the group deteriorated and only the arrival of Fergie managed to save it.
The first album, “Wild Orchid”, was released in 1997, next year the “Oxygen” album appeared. Their song “Declaration” was featured in an episode of “Beverly Hills, 90210” and became popular. But soon “Wild Orchid” was to collapse…
Stacy Ann Ferguson was born on March 27th, 1975, in California. Her parents encouraged Stacy and her younger sister Dana to pursue careers in the entertainment industry.
In 1984 she appeared first in a commercial for Rice Krispies, then in the pilot for a TV show, “Kids Incorporated”. The show was a great hit. In 1986 there was the horror comedy movie, “Monster in the Closet”.
Fergie’s solo carrer proved her talent.
Stacy’s career began in the cartoon “The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show” in 1983, and on two TV specials: “It’s Flashbeagle”, “Charlie Brown” (1984) and “Snoopy’s Getting Married”, “Charlie Brown” (1985).
After that she vanished from the screens and led normal teenage life. Music had always been her passion, so, with Stefanie Ridel and Renee Sandstrom, she formed the band Wild Orchid.a
