You like it or not you probably have to go to school. This is the way the world has been organized for you by adults.

If you go to one of the private, expensive schools, you have opportunity to travel around the world with your teachers. If your school is one of the public ones, you still have the option to do it. The rules are the same. The trip is being planned by your teachers, the destination chosen and the insurance paid. All you have to do is grab the chance to spend some organized time with your school mates outside school. When your parents sign the agreement, you are free to go. Your preparations start.

Collecting information

Try to collect as much info on the place you go to as possible. It not only helps you pack but also provides with free time activities feedback. This way when you start to pack you take all the necessary things to have fun and keep away from blisters on your feet. If you are organized and like to be prepared for every eventuality, you are likely to start packing few days before the trip. If you are even more organized, you are able to pack up in one evening having everything what you need at home. Some love packing at the last moment, but they have to remember about taking some extra money they will have to spend on the things that they are about to forget.
And what about pocket money?

Talking about money sometimes means negotiating pocket money with your parents. Be prepared to make some sacrifices. Behave well, bring some astonishing marks from school; it always helps to get some extra cash.

Sharing the room

When you secure yourself with enough PLN to have fun, start thinking about more practical things like where to sit on the coach or who to share a room with. Try to remind yourself whether you have problems with locomotion or not. Nausea is something you definitely want to stay away from during your school trip. Additionally, if you feel sick, the teachers will probably seat you at the closest free seat behind them, just to have an eye on you. So you can say goodbye to your friends, at the back of the coach, at the very beginning of the trip.

What to get?

Prepare for the on the road time well. If you can not imagine a day without a book, take some, not too heavy. If music is your daily bread, don’t forget about the MP3 player or you’ll really get depressed. You can also consider not taking books and MP3 just to refresh your mind and evade being worried about loosing your precious possessions.

***

When you safely arrive at the destination place it might be too late to decide with whom to share the bedroom. Try to get the information about the rooms before you set out, this way you may be able to make some arrangements in advance. It may even mean avoiding the dreadful situation of brushing your teeth for a week or so with your sworn enemy.
Most of all, remember to have fun and spend some quality time with your friends. Try to make new ones and enjoy the world around you.
