1. Traveller’s party
If you feel you are bored with New Year’s Eve parties, you might decide the best idea will be to fill your backpack and go somewhere. Lots of people go to the mountains and opt for a kind of ski-party. Zakopane is full, however, and a much better and more original option could be actually going to… the seaside. You can take a bottle of champagne and drink it on the beach covered with snow… If you are thinking about going with your girlfriend or boyfriend, this is a very romantic option.

2. Fancy dress party
A great idea to give colour to your party is to put on some strange clothes. You can opt for the sixties, the aliens, the bikini party and anything that comes to your mind (but it is nice to have one topic or theme). The host of the party should also think about appropriate decorations, drinks and food. For example you can try to make some special drinks and give it appropriate names, associated with the topic. Also, take lots of pictures!

3. The Spanish, Greek, African…
A great idea is a party connected with a country. You can decide for a Spanish party, wear colourful skirts, try out flamenco and prepare paella and sangria, watch Almodovar movies. African party with drinks in coconut shells. Greek party with zorba dance and tzadziki. It is important to combine three things: food and drink, clothes and music.

4. The Last Mohicans party
Everybody was invited to a party, but you weren’t? Very unhappy about it? Find other people who don’t have anywhere to go and have a Last Mohicans party. Try not to make it a competitive party to the parties you are going to, but something completely different. You can meet and discuss what you would really like to do. Perhaps watch movies? Perhaps simply sit and talk? Perhaps cook some exotic dish together? Or do something crazy? This can be actually only you and your best friend.

5. A Loner party
Have you ever thought of spending the New Year’s Eve alone? The worst idea? Sometimes you might be so fed up with boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, dressing up, making up, that you can welcome such an idea with a certain relief. Also it might happen you actually have a flu and you simply have to stay at home. Whatever the reason is, don’t think you don’t have anywhere to go: think you don’t have to go anywhere. And try to take advantage.
