A few years ago one of the most popular magazines in the world made an experiment. They put 80 wallets, with £30 inside, on the street in four towns in England, Scotland and Wales. Each wallet contained also the name and telephone number of the owner as well as some family photographs. They were left in many different places: in shops, underground stations, car parks and many others. What do you think? How many wallets returned to the owners? Well, in Great Britain over 65% of wallets were given back.

The same experiment was also made in the USA and in some countries in Europe. There were not big differences between results (58% in Europe and 67% in the USA). But one thing was very interesting! In two Scandinavian cities, Oslo and Odense, 100% wallets were returned but in Lausanne in Switzerland and in Weimar in Germany only 20% of wallets came back to the owners. And the prize for the honest was the £30 from the wallet. What would You do in this situation?

Ile portfeli wróciło do właścicieli?
