Przykładowy opis ilustracji

In the picture I can see a room in a kindergarten. There are about ten children in the room and there is their teacher. The children are sitting on the floor and listening to the teacher, who is showing them some things in the book. The girls are sitting in the first row and listening carefully, the boys do not seem to be concentrated on what the woman is showing them. I can’t see exactly what the woman is showing to the kids, but she might be telling them a story and showing colourful pictures at the same time. In the room there are lots of colourful pictures and some boxes with crayons and paints.

Przykładowe odpowiedzi na pytania egzaminatora

1.
Do you think it is easy for this teacher to keep the children motivated and disciplined?
The teacher looks confident and professional, so I think that it is not difficult for her to make the children disciplined. She might use some system of rewards and punishments. Obviously it must be difficult sometimes to take care of so many children at the same time – especially when they are younger. The most difficult thing in this job is, however, making the kids really interesting and motivated. People working with kids can’t be boring, because the children will simply pay no attention to them. Probably they must change often the activities and always try something new. When the children are older, just before they go to school, it is important to teach them some pre-school discipline, too. They stop being only kids and start some more serious activities. This must be a difficult period. It is crucial that the teacher is charismatic or at least popular with children – then it is much easier for her to satisfy all her goals.

2.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of working with children?
I think there are both advantages and disadvantages of working with children. The greatest advantage is that it is a very important job, because you shape future members of the society. You are, together with the parents, the first person to show them the world. It must be also really interesting to see how they grow and develop their personalities. There is always something happening so there is no danger of routine. On the other hand, there are some disadvantages. The job is simply hard: you have to take care of the kids all the time, organize their time, shout at them when they are noughty and simply control everything. This is stressful and that is why it is not a job for everybody.
