Przykładowy opis ilustracji:
In the picture we can see some teenagers in front of a computer. There are six boys about twelve years old. Five boys are sitting and one boy is standing up and looking at the screen. He’s got a school rucksack on his back. There are three computers on a long desk. Perhaps there are more, but they are not visible. The attention of the boys is centered on a computer where there is something on the screen. I think it must be some game. There are some posters on the wall and there is a board saying “Internet Café”, but I think the picture has been taken at school. The café does not look very professional. It must be simply a place where kids can use computers and the Internet – and perhaps pay for it.

Przykładowe odpowiedzi na pytania egzaminatora
1. What do you think the boys are so interested in?
Boys of this age are interested most often in games, so I think they simply found some game in the Internet and now one or two boys are playing it, and the other boys just looking. But it is also possible that they are browsing some pages about cars, toys, films or music. It is also possible that they want to buy something in one of the Internet shops.
2. What is the influence of computers and the Internet on teenagers?
Well, I think that the computers and the Internet have both advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it is said their influence is bad because the kids are confronted with violence, they can have access to websites with inappropriate content and also they can be in danger as the net is full of people who want to do them harm. On the other hand, we must remember, however, that we live in the century of the computer technology. We can’t avoid using computers and teenagers cannot escape the Internet. We should only teach them how to do it wisely.
