I’ve fallen in love at first sight. She is the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I felt the strong affection towards her the moment I looked into her beautiful eyes for the first time. She has not reciprocated my love yet but it is only a matter of time. My feelings are not skin-deep. Believe me, it’s true and passionate love.

happiness – szczęście
My life has changed since I started doing sport. It makes me more optimistic about my future, brings me satisfaction and helps me relieve stress. Yesterday I was in high spirits because I won a competition. I was in such a good mood all day that I even gave my old computer to my younger sister. She was delighted to be able to play computer games in her room.

unhappiness – nieszczęście
I hate school and I’m fed up with all the boring lessons we have every day. I’m really worried about my final results because I failed all maths tests this term. I can see no way out but to repeat a year. My parents are devastated and really pessimistic about my future. They keep telling me I have a negative attitude to life and I should change it. Although I hate to see my Mum disappointed and unhappy, I’m not strong enough to change anything. I think I suffer from depression and I’d better consult a psychiatrist.

anger – złość
I had a terrible argument with my brother. He got angry with me only because I took his CD player. I borrowed it for a while to listen to my new CD. When he saw it, he was really mad about it. He said he wouldn’t have got so irritated if I had asked him for it before. He was in a bad mood till the end of the day although I apologized to him.

fear – strach
Mary is an extremely brave person. She is not afraid of parachuting, bungee jumping or hang-gliding. She wanted to convince me to try parachuting but the only thing I was able to do was to get onto the plane. However, I was too terrified to jump from it. I would like to do some extreme sports but I can’t overcome fear.

friendship – przyjaźń
A good friend is someone who never lets you down, and who you can always rely on. He or she should be loyal, trusted, sincere and faithful. Tom is a person I can always count on. We made friends two years ago and we have been in a close relationship since then. He helps me in difficult times, cheers me up and raises my spirits when I am troubled or down.
