I have lost my umbrella today. I am going to look for it although I know it may be difficult to find it as I visited a lot of places on my way home. I might have left it at the stationer’s where I bought some pencils and notebooks or in the photographer’s shop where I had my film developed. I also went to the new clothes shop and the shoe shop, which were open last week in my neighbourhood. It is my mother’s birthday today so I dropped into the jewellery shop and the florist. Then I did some shopping at the grocer’s, baker’s and butcher’s.
I hate shopping in superstores or shopping centres. They are definitely too crowded for me. I prefer going to the corner shop or to the market. Besides, I have a very good convenience store in my neighbourhood where I can buy food at any time of the day. Even before Christmas I try to omit shopping malls. I always buy Christmas presents for my dad in the DIY. It is more difficult to find something interesting for my mum so I usually have to visit several boutiques and antique shops. As far as my sister is concerned I can always find a suitable gift for her in a toy shop.
